Oregon High School Equestrian Teams (OHSET) is an organization for high school students to represent their school on a team of riders and grooms. Each team competes in the district competitions, then the top three from each event (the averaged scores) go to the state competition. There are events for all types of riders. From jumpers to ropers, there's fun for everyone! For more information, visit the OHSET website at www.ohset.com.

Fun Fact:

The word "Equestrian" comes from Roman times. An equestrian was a knight who could afford to buy and take care of a horse.

Sheldon High School is in the South Valley district. We take in riders from nearby schools that don't have a team of their own, such as Marist High School. The equestrian team is a great oppurtunity for students to grow and get experience with animals.
