Parents:
Would you like to receive your child’s progress report/report card by email? Log in to your ParentVUE account and click on the My Account tab. Under “Auto Notify” tab, which is located about halfway down the page, check the box that fits your needs and enter your preferred email address. Make sure you do this in advance of the grading day on Feb. 3. Please note: The gradebook feature in ParentVUE and StudentVUE will be disabled during the grading period. For questions, or to set up a ParentVUE account, contact Sonja Casarez at 541-970-6600.
Heads up Parents & Students:
Food Services announced, “Our new hamburger patty has sunflower oil listed as one of the ingredients, having less than 2% of it. Therefore, if there are any students with allergies, please be aware of this ingredient before choosing to take the hamburger/cheeseburger.”
A friendly reminder from the school nurse:
If you have:
• a fever of 100.5 or higher
• flu type symptoms (such as achiness, chills, sore throat, cough, nausea or vomiting), please don’t come to school.
When you are at school if you feel that you are coming down with something or wonder if you have a fever, please come and let the nurse take your temperature and help you decide if you should stay at school or go home.
Please remember:
• to wash your hands frequently throughout the day
• do not share food or drink containers
• do not share medications
The best defense you have to protect yourself from viruses and influenza is great self-care.

Tickets are available at the box office after school Thursday and Friday and one hour before curtain times. For more information, contact Nancy Anderson at 541-790-6672.

National Youth Science Camp for Graduating HS Students – Application Deadline March 1, 2017
The National Youth Science Camp (NYSC) is a residential science education program that honors and challenges two graduating high school science students from each state. Scientists from across the nation present lectures and hands-on science seminars and interact informally with student delegates.
A visit to Washington D.C. permits delegates to visit some of the nation’s premier scientific, governmental, and cultural facilities. The NYSC experience includes overnight excursions into the Monongahela National Forest featuring backpacking, rock-climbing, caving, mountain biking, and kayaking opportunities.
Delegates are required to participate in the camp program (June 14 – July 8, 2017) for its entirety. More information is available online at www.nysc.org.
