Today is Wednesday, February 15, 2017 and these are your morning announcements:
PeaceJam club will meet TOMORROW at lunch this week in B-28. Those interested in learning more about the organization or attending the North West conference in March should attend.
BSU will meet Friday in the Multicultural Center at lunch. Join us to discuss and plan upcoming field trips and events including the AAYLC conference at Linnfield College this year.
Those who want discounted tickets to Churchill’s United in Love Dance on Feb. 17 can now purchase them from Ms. Fitz for $5.00. All SHELDON students are invited to attend, but you will need to sign up with Ms. Fitz BEFORE Friday. The dance goes from 8 to 11 PM. Bring your Sheldon ID. Tickets at the door are $7.00
Seniors! Back by popular demand, a repeat session of finishing or starting your FAFSA, OSAC, Oregon Promise or LCC Scholarship applications! There will be a scholarship lab TODAY during 3rd period from 11:40-12:40 in the lecture hall, C9. Come check it out and get help finishing your applications.
Coming in February, is the WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) Symposium!! This event takes place at Churchill HS, on Saturday, February 25th and is open to ALL high school students! There will be workshops in science, medicine, engineering and technology and admission is free!! Registration is now open on the Churchill High website or on their Facebook Page! Check it out!

Come to JSU TODAY in the Lecture Hall at lunch following Interact Club. Today we will learn about what it means to be Kosher & eat delicious Kosher foods! Bring your friends, you don’t have to be Jewish to join.
Attention All Track & Field Athletes-
If you are joining the track and field team this spring there is a mandatory team meeting on Thursday February 16th at lunch in the gym.
The coaches will provide lunch for you.
Students planning to compete in the Academic, Cultural, Technological, and Scientific Olympics or ACT-SO this year, need to turn in their applications this Friday at the BSU meeting. If you want to compete and you need an application, come to B-28 and pick one up from Ms. Fitz. Remember, anyone who earns a gold medal at the local level will be taken to the national competition in Baltimore Maryland in July of this year. Students earn cash scholarships at the national level of $1,000, $750 and $500 in addition to other awards, prizes and scholarships.
