Daily Announcements – May 10

Today is Wednesday, May 10, 2017 and these are your morning announcements:

ATTENTION Sheldon Students: there is a Food for Lane County drive going on all the way through TODAY. Please donate all your extra canned foods sitting in your pantry. We accept canned meats, low sugar dried fruits, cereal, peanut butter & ethnic foods. There will be a bin located in front of the office.

Cal Young Middle School is looking to hire a student worker for next school year! You must have 4th and 5th periods available and reliable transportation to Cal Young. Please submit a resume to Jodi at Cal Young. This is a paid position!

The Front Office is looking for a work study student for the next school year. The hours are 1 to 4 pm school days. Interested juniors should contact Julia in the Front Office. A resume and cover letter will be required.
Seniors: The Senior Checklist is posted outside the front office. Please make sure you check it and take care of any fines, credit issues, naviance surveys, etc. in order to be “CLEAR” to purchase graduation tickets on May 15.

Attention Seniors: Final Transcript Request forms are now available in Records in the front office.

Audition packets for next years; Varsity Choir and Dublinaires are available in the choir room or in the front office. Sign up soon for an audition time on the door inside the music hallway. Auditions run May 23-June 6, with callbacks for Dublinaires on Monday June 12.

All student groups planning to participate in the Luau fundraiser have a mandatory meeting in the Multicultural Center this TOMORROW. Please come early–Lunch will be provided.

Sheldon Steppers will meet once again in the Dance Studio on Friday. Let’s use this extra time to finish our routine.

BSU meets every Wednesday in the Multicultural Center at lunch. Come join us!

Have you ever considered a career in firefighting, emergency medicine or even as a 911 operator??? If so, this announcement is for you! The Eugene/Springfield Fire Department is a hosting a teen career day and you are invited! On Friday, June 2 you will be given the opportunity to experience hands-on training to become a firefighter, EMT or 911 operator!!! This is an all day event and lunch will be provided! Transportation will be your responsibility. Please see Kim in the Career Center for permission slips and additional information about this exciting day!
