Daily Announcements 5/21/18

Attention all Juniors: Great job so far in state testing! The Smarter Balanced Math test starts today with Group A in periods 4 and 5.  Groups and test times are posted on the windows of the Front Office – students should check what day and time they come to the lecture hall to test in Math.

Recycling is important.  Recycling correctly is more important, and you don’t know how.  That’s why this Wednesday once during 3rd period and once during lunch in the Multicultural Center, a master recycler will be making a presentation on, How To Recycle Correctly. Come one and all, to room F4 on Wednesday and learn how to recycle, then go and teach others.

The Walk and Roll Challenge is now in full swing! We’re seeing lots of students walking and rolling into school and entering the raffle for prizes. Way to go!  Keep it up! Each day you walk or roll to school, be sure to drop off your name in one of the boxes in the front office for your walk or roll to count! Stay tuned to announcements throughout the week for our winners of the Walk and Roll Challenge! Sheldon Irish Students are keeping it green by being environmentally friendly.  : ). Good job!

Attention freshmen, sophomores, and juniors! Your grade 12 friends may be tired of announcements and may not be listening as closely as they should.  Could you please remind all of the college-bound seniors to complete and return their Final Transcript Request form?  It takes less than a minute to complete.  Forms are available on the “Records” counter in the front office.

Seniors, if are you planning on attending the Senior Grad Night Party don’t forget to get your permission slip and money turned in as soon as possible. If needed, there are forms you can pick up at the front desk.

Senior Athletes. The Athletic Department and Coaching Staff invite all seniors and their families to attend the annual “Senior Athlete Competing in College Recognition” event on Wednesday, May 23 at 8:30 am. Please see the sign up with Kristen in the front office.

Starting Monday the black gate on the Jeppesen Acres access path will be locked during school hours. The locked gate is to help address some of the reported concerns in the area. Please make other arrangements if you use the access path during the school day.

Finish the year in the clear! Please check your library account for fines and return ALL overdue library books AND any textbooks you are done using.  Seniors, you must have a clear account before you can get graduation tickets on Monday the 14th. If you have any questions about library or text books, talk to Ms. Kunz or Mrs. Mertz in the library or at the textbook window.
