Whom Do We Serve?

Now there's an answer to the basic healthcare needs of students: My School's Health Centers. There is a student health center at each 4j high school, including Sheldon. At Sheldon High School, we are located just around the corner from the main office. Health services are available to students and their siblings (birth to 19 years) in the Eugene area. My School's Health Center at Sheldon provides compassionate, quallified care to students right on campus. From infant vaccination to teenage emotional concerns. , we can serve the health care needs of students at every stage of life. We diagnose and treat most illnesses. In the event that our staff cannot treat a particular issue, we'll refer the patient to a specialist, including a dentist or optometrist. Our nurse practitioners can also provide prescriptions. In all cases, our caring staff strives to keep families involved in their childrens' care. However, if you chose, as long as we have a signed permission slip or the student is old enough, they can simply go before or after class to the health center. So parents don't necessarily have to rearragne their schedules or miss work.

The health center can bill OHP and private insurance companies, but will also see students without insurance or are under-insured. No one is refused health care due to an inability to pay. Fees can be charged on a sliding scale or waived entirely if need be.
