Parent-Teacher Organization

Sheldon PTO is open to all Sheldon parents and staff.  Our purpose is to provide a forum for parents to learn about Sheldon’s programs, to share input with Sheldon staff, hear from our Principal on the state of our school and to support success for all Sheldon students.  We encourage donations to Eugene Education Foundation (EEF).  We sponsor the Curriculum night each fall, the Sheldon Irish eNews, and fundraising events that support the curriculum and academics of Sheldon High School.  We meet quarterly and focus on a variety of topics that are important to our students and families at Sheldon.  Please join our meetings this year!  Meetings are held in the Sheldon Library from 7-8:30 pm.

We will post meetings on this website and also be sending reminders out for PTO meetings, please check our school eNews and the website weekly.  Our first meeting will be in October.  Curriculum night is in September for all parents to attend.  More information will be coming informing you of Curriculum night specifics.

All parents and guardians of Sheldon students are automatically members of the Parent Council and there is no membership process. Parents are invited to attend meetings. The Parent Council represents parents and one of its important functions is to improve the environment at Sheldon through volunteer and financial support.  We will be voting for new officers in the Fall.  If you are interested in being on the PTO board, please email sheldonirishenews@gmail.com.

Communication

The Parent Council publishes a weekly newsletter, Sheldon Irish eNews. This is a good source of information about events, opportunities and news for parents and students. If you are interested in receiving weekly information about what is happening around your school, the activities, events, academics, school days and community opportunities, please subscribe to the Irish eNews. To subscribe send an email message with “subscribe” in the subject line to sheldonirishenews@gmail.com. Information comes weekly and will begin in August.
