Travis played high school basketball at state powerhouse Pleasant Hill High School, where he led his team to the State Championship game in 1998. Along the way he was awarded Sky-Em league MVP, First Team All-State and West All state MVP. Travis also set a state record for steals in the state tournament with 17.
After high school, Travis attended George Fox University where he played for the Bruins. Travis led his team in scoring steals and minutes played his junior and senior seasons. He was named Northwest Conference All Conference two different times. During his career at George fox Travis ended up the 13th all time leading scorer in George Fox basketball history.
After college Travis was invited to the Utah Showcase, a combine camp for European scouts to place players on professional European teams. He also played for the Blue Angles an exhibition team that plays exhibition games against Division I teams. Last year he played for the Eugene Chargers a local professional team.
Travis started his coaching career with the Varsity Academy a division of NBC camps in Portland. He coached AAU teams in West Linn and Pleasant Hill. Travis is currently coaching at the high school level at Sheldon High School. He developed the Premier Basketball Academy in September 7, 2003 with the idea of helping basketball player reach their full potential as athletes. |
