• Remember, our cell phone and Personal Electronic Device policy:  “Off and Away all Day!” That means any time you are on campus during the school day - even during breaks, when you are in the halls, in the front office or counseling center, or during lunch!  Thanks for all of your help with this policy;  If your phone or Personal Electronic Device is out, it can be confiscated and brought to the front office where it can be picked up at the end of the day.  With multiple infractions, you will need a meeting with parent or guardian prior to the device being returned and or leave it in the front office for the day. Remember the SHS ROSE - be Respectful of Others, yourSelf, and your Environment. 
• Fun Fact for Hispanic Heritage Month: Indigenous Language Survival: Ancient tongues like Quechua (spoken by the Incas) and Nahuatl (spoken by the Aztecs) are still spoken by millions of people today. 

• Hey Sheldon Students! Today's the day!! Stop by the College & Career Center in A-1 at 11:45 to meet with the Senior Admissions Counselor from Portland State University. All grades are welcome! 
• Sheldon DECA, will meet this Monday and all Monday's at lunch in A6 - Mr. Phillipo's Room. If you are interested in a career in business, you'll want to be there.  
• Are you looking for a kind and fun group of people? Do you need community service hours? Key Club is an amazing opportunity to gain service hours and meet new people! We meet Tuesdays during lunch in room C9. Stop by to learn more about our club, make some friends, and eat some delicious snacks.
• After school tutoring is today in the library from 3:45 to 4:45. Come by to get some work done, get help, and maybe win a pizza. 
• BATTERS UP! Ready to step up to the plate? Our baseball meeting is happening Wednesday the 23rd during lunch in C-9 in the  Lecture Hall! Come meet the team, talk baseball, and get ready to knock it out of the park! See you there - let’s play ball!
• If you are interested in playing softball, they will be offering some offseason practices starting at the end of September. Please register on final forms so you and your parents will be included on any emails that the coach sends out. 
• Come join Unified PE 1st period !!  If you want to be part of a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment, ask your counselor about adding the class to your schedule today. Students constantly rate Unified classes  as some of their favorite activities at Sheldon while earning needed credits and making friends. Don’t miss out! 
• "APISU, Asian and Pacific Islander Student Union, is having its first meeting of the year today during lunch in C7. This is a safe and supportive space for all students who appreciate and want to learn more about the cultures and people of Asia and Pacific Islands. Come join us!
• The last day to ADD new classes to your schedule is Tuesday, September 22nd! Tuesday is also the deadline to drop a class without a Drop Form. Starting on Wednesday, September 23rd, Class Drop forms will be required when dropping a class. See your school counselor for assistance."
• The Disabled & Neurodivergent Student Union (DNSU) meets every Monday during lunch in room H-4, in the KRVM building hallway, as well as online via Google Meets. 

We will discuss the history of the disability civil rights movement, legally protected rights of those who identify as neurodivergent and/or disabled, as well as breaking up the school day with some fun & decompression time. Come as you are, and share or don't share. We have arts and craft supplies. We support each other, by respecting and listening to each other, while sharing and exploring strategies to get what we each need for our own lives! Stop by and learn how to help support yourself and your community. See you Monday!

• Are you wondering what you want to do after college? Are you even slightly interested in the medical field? Or maybe you just want something that stands out on college applications and resumes. If that’s you, come to HOSA today for our club meeting at lunch in C9 for free snacks, a fun time, and a chance to learn more about the medical field. Hope to see you there!
• It's back! A quinceñera runway will again be featured in our Hispanic Heritage Assembly in October. Please see Ms. Albrich in B15 if you're interested in participating. Practice starts soon!
