• Security Reminder:
  • We need your help to keep our school as secure as possible. Please remember that when outside doors are closed and locked, we ask that students enter through the front office. You can help us out by not opening doors for your friends or schoolmates when they are locked. We all need to work together to keep our building as secure as possible.
  • Remember the SHS ROSE - be Respectful of Others, yourSelf, and your Environment.
• LifeTouch photos and proofs have arrived! Please come to the front office to pick yours up and be prepared to provide your grade level and last name when you arrive.
• Fun fact for Hispanic Heritage Month: Ellen Ochoa (first Hispanic woman in space), Sonia Sotomayor (first Hispanic Supreme Court Justice), and Rita Moreno (EGOT-winning entertainer).
• Today is the day!! Come by C-9 on Wednesday to learn all there is to know about becoming an Oregon State University Beaver!! The OSU Admissions Advisor will begin their presentation at 11:15. Feel free to bring your lunch and ALL of your Beaver-related questions!

• Women in STEM meets this Thursday at lunch in B10 - Everyone is welcome to join for activities, crafts, snacks, and a good time! Bring a friend, come learn about STEM
• Game club will be held in C9 every Thursday after school from 3:30-5:30. Activities will include games such as DND and Warhammer. We hope to see you there!
• FOOD!? VOLUNTEER HOURS!? Maybe some CRAFTS and GAMES?!?! Save your friends a seat THIS THURSDAY in room B14 for Interact Club. It’s the best lunchtime club to join. We BETTER see you there.
• Come to the 2nd meeting of the Sheldon Feminist Student Union today  in Mr. Whalley's room S-3.  There will be pizza, snacks and crafting.
• Guess what? Jewish Student Union actually exists! And we will be meeting today in C2 during lunch. We will be learning about the culture, playing bingo, and eating some snacks. Everyone is welcome!
• Hey Sheldon! Homecoming Court Nominations are now open! Homecoming Court is about more than popularity - it's about celebrating the people who make our school a better place. Please take a moment to thoughtfully consider your nominee and explain why they deserve to be recognized. The nomination form will close this Saturday, October third at 9pm. The form can be found on the sheldon.highschool (sheldon dot high school) instagram page as well as in your Advisory canvas page.
• Today is Orange Shirt Day, also known as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. It is a day to honor the indigenous children who were taken from their families and communities and forced to attend boarding and residential schools, as well as the children who never returned home. Wearing orange represents remembrance, awareness, and the message that Every Child Matters. Today, we recognize the strength and resilience of Indigenous peoples, remember the children and families who were affected, and continue learning about the truth of what happened.
