• Tickets are now available for the Homecoming Dance, “On the Red Carpet.” Homecoming is Saturday, September 30th, from 8-11pm, in the Sheldon Courtyard. Tickets are available outside the Main Office before school, at lunch, and after school through Friday, September 29th, or until sold out. 800 tickets are available for Sheldon students and 50 are available for guests. Tickets are $15 each. Guest passes are available in the Main Office and due back Thursday, September 28th, by 1pm; remember – only 50 guest passes are available.
• Hey Sheldon! Come by Papa’s pizza on Coburg Road on Thursday September 21st for our homecoming fundraiser. 50% of each order will be given back to Sheldon and be used towards Homecoming! Find a flyer posted in the halls, take a picture, and show it to your cashier when you make a purchase. So come support Sheldon’s ASB in planning an awesome homecoming this year!
• There will be a boys basketball meeting today in the main gym at the beginning of lunch. This meeting is for all kids who are interested in trying out for the basketball team this winter.
• Happy National Hispanic Heritage Month! Today we acknowledge a hispanic serving institute that has been serving the hispanic community for years. Did you know that Centro Latino Americano or Centro was formed in 1972 by a group of activist Chicano students from Lane Community College and the University of Oregon to meet the needs of Mexican immigrant families in Lane County? Recently, Centro Latino Americano, Downtown Languages, and Huerto de la Familia combined, in order to increase their capacity to serve Latino and immigrant families in the community. These three organizations have a long history of collaborating together, and their work together has been united, impactful, and powerful. Thank you Centro for you advocating to amplify our community’s perspective and ensure the needs of Latinxs are elevated, valued, and included!
• It’s time to place your order for the Class of 2024 Graduation. Place your online orders with Miners Graduate Services by Monday, October 2nd to pick up your Class of 2024 Gear (sweatshirts, bling tassels) at lunch on Wednesday, October 4th. All caps / gowns and printed materials will be distributed in early April.
• There will be a meeting for anyone that is planning on playing baseball in the spring today during lunch in C9.
• LSU, Sheldon’s Latine Student Union, will meet today during lunch in B15 to makes flores de papel as part of our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Bring your friends and join our community art project. See you there!
• Come join The Good News Club this Friday during lunch in Mr. Wright’s room to meet new people and hear a message! Bring a friend and come help build Church community!
• The first philosophy club of the year will meet today in room B-28 for lunch. Everyone is welcome to show up and get deep.
• Dungeons & Dragons club is meeting after school today in C-9.
• Students are you planning to attend our Friday Night Football games?

Again students, clear back packs are allowed. Traditional back packs are no longer allowed into the stadium on Friday Nights.
