• Let’s play some games! Do you like to play card games like “Magic The Gathering” or “Yu-Gi-Oh!”? If you do, and you would like to play or learn these card games, come to B-30 during Lunch on Fridays.
• Do you want to be in a band but don’t want to feel obligated to do it outside of school? Come to Rock Band Club! You’ll need to bring your own instrument, but there is no mandatory practice and no pressure. It’s just a chance to jam with other like-minded musicians. Come to the introductory meeting at lunch in B-30 on Tuesday, November 18th to find out more!
• Attention grades 9, 10, and 11: You have until this Friday, November 14th, to submit a name change request for the yearbook.  Seniors have until December 1st and Senior portrait submissions are also due by December 1.  Related information and forms can be found on Sheldon’s website and in your Advisory's Canvas course.
• Sheldon’s Women in STEM Club is back! Come for snacks, a fun activity, and a chance to meet awesome people who love science, tech, engineering, and math. Everyone’s welcome, so grab a friend and stop by today in room B-5 during Lunch.
• Affinity Students, You’re invited to take part in this year’s “Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day” on Friday, November 14th — a celebration of courage, inclusion, and unity inspired by Ruby Bridges, who made history as one of the first Black students to integrate an all-white elementary school. This year, Sheldon Affinity Students, their allies, and staff will walk alongside students from Cal Young and Monroe Middle School as they make their way to Sheldon. The walk will begin at 8:45am, with students arriving at Sheldon around 9am to take part in student-led activities and reflections on the power of standing up for what’s right. If you’d like to participate or help lead an activity booth, please connect with your affinity advisor, your student leaders, Callie Clark, Kaliea Davis, or Alma (our equity manager). Let’s come together as a community to honor Ruby’s legacy and continue her walk toward The Power of Courage and Community.
• The Girls Basketball season begins Monday November 17th. Tryouts will be from 6-8 Monday, 4-6 Tuesday, and 6-8 Wednesday, November 17-19th. All participants must be registered and compliant on FinalForms. Contact Coach Miller with any questions.
