- Please remember to bring your laptops to school every day and make sure they are fully charged. If you borrow a loaner device for the day, it must be returned at the end of the day or as soon as you are finished using it.
- The Colleens Dance Team has just wrapped up its Fall Season - Winter Season Tryouts are coming SOON, right before winter break on Tuesday, December 16th from 4:15 to 6:15pm. Come workout with the team on Wednesday December 17th from 6 to 7:30am. Make sure you get a sports physical. We would love to grow the dance team in 2026 - See you at tryouts! Reach out to any current dance team member for more information!
- Want a quiet reading break? Join the Shh…eldon Reading Hour Club - Thursdays at lunch with Mrs. G in the library. Read anything you want - no homework, no pressure. Snacks included. Open to all students and staff. Starting soon - sign up in the library!
- EXTRA, EXTRA, HEAR ALL ABOUT IT! Auditions for Sheldon Theatre's spring musical, Newsies, are January 6th through 9th. Get your info packet outside the choir room or linked on the posters around school. There will be an optional music learning session from 3:45-4:30pm on Wednesday, December 17th, for anyone interested in joining the cast. All are welcome in Sheldon Theatre. We hope you join us in the cast or crew for this fun show.
- The Gender and Sexuality Alliance meets on Tuesdays at lunch in room F-6. GSA provides a safe space for LGBTQIA2+ students and allies to come together, engage in discussions and activities, such as games or crafts, learn about queer history, and build community.
- Sheldon, come to the Divergence and Disability Alliance, our club meets every Monday in B-8, which is Dr. Clementi’s classroom. Every week, we share a meal and support strategies for students who are both neurodivergent and disabled. Stop by and learn how to help support yourself and your peers. Lunch is provided. See you Monday in B-8!
- You are invited to celebrate the season with Sheldon Choirs at our Winter Concert, "For Auld Lang Syne," on Monday, December 15th, at 7pm in the auditorium. We have 128 singers in our choirs this year, and we’re so proud of their hard work. Thanks for your support!
- IHS Art Night! Join us Friday December 19th in the cafeteria from 6-8pm. We will be watching a movie and providing students with an opportunity for Creativity hours for CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service)
- Cell phone reminders;
- Cell phones and personal electronic devices must be turned off and put away during instructional time.
- This applies everywhere in the building during class periods— classrooms, hallways, and restrooms are included in this (even if you have a free period during that time)
- Phones may only be used before school, after school, during passing periods, morning break, and at lunch.
- Just a reminder that in the new year, there will be changes to this policy due to the Governor's new law.
- Remember: this isn’t just about rules — it’s about creating a strong, respectful learning environment where everyone can focus and succeed. Thank you for doing your part and remember our ROSE - Always respect Others, our Self and our Environment.
- Sheldon DECA, will meet Monday (12/15) at lunch in A-6, Mr. Phillipo's Room. If you are interested in a career in business, you'll want to be there.
- Freshman and JV Boys Basketball players will be released at 3pm today . Initially the sheet said 2:30, but the official release time is 3pm for both JV and Freshman.
- Seniors! Interested in being a part of the Irish Pageant, formally known as Mr. and Mrs. Irish? Join us to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network. Pick-up an application from Miss Jackson in room B28A or from Kristi Savage in the scheduling office. We are also available for any questions!
- Next week is our Winter School Spirit Week! See posters around the hallway or check the sheldon Instagram for themes! Monday is snow gear or winter gear day. Dress up to help spread school spirit and positivity!
- Next week on Monday, we will start our first Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament of the year. Leadership students will be passing beads out around campus on Monday morning! There will be hot chocolate available at the green counters as well! The people with the most beads by Thursday will play in the final round at the assembly!
