The purpose of this message from the Athletic and Activities department at Sheldon High School is three fold…
#1- Community Sportsmanship - SHS would like to advocate for our students, staff and community to continue the “Be Loud, Be Proud, and Be Positive.”
#2- Sponsorship Information - If you would like to have a business advertisement in the gym or stadium (or both) the Sheldon athletic departments will benefit from your sponsorship. See info below…
#3- Digital ticket sale information - single event, season tickets by sport, and family passes for all HOME events.
Community Sportsmanship
The OSAA Sportsmanship Message is….. Interscholastic activities are an integral part of the educational curriculum and experience. High school activities promote the character development of participants, enhance the educational mission and promote civility in society. Therefore, student-athletes, coaches, spectators and all others associated with high school activities programs and events should adhere to the fundamental values of respect, fairness, honesty and responsibility. These values should be established as a priority among all OSAA member high schools. It is the responsibility of each member high school to establish policies for sportsmanship and ethical conduct consistent with the educational mission and goals of that school and to continually educate students, coaches, teachers, parents and all involved about those policies.
Please always remember that our athletics and activities are a forum for student character growth and student identity building. We need to be models of the decorum we wish of our student athletes. So, we should expect good sportsmanship from our participants and our fans. All cheers, comments and actions shall be in direct support of our team. In contrast, no cheers, comments or actions shall be directed at one’s opponent or at contest officials. Sheldon fans should “Be Loud, Be Proud, and Be Positive.” Thank you!
Sponsorship Information
Would you like to sponsor any sport directly by advertising with a banner in the gym, stadium, baseball field, etc.? Each team will receive the proceeds into their account. Your partnership helps to provide a great experience for our student athletes. The funds go to a variety of items including gear, uniforms, travel, and more. Signage will remain visible in the purchased location for one calendar year from installation and annual renewal is possible. Digital Ticket Sales
Ticket sales support all athletic programs… In other words, if you are a cross country family, then your attendance at football games, volleyball games, and soccer games will directly support your sport also. One other note is that these tickets are only good for HOME events and all high schools have their own ticket pricing structure. So come support all of our events!!!
